How it all started...

One day Scott and Nick were sitting around talking about the world of marching band and performing arts. We discussed how it really bothered us how there were so many bands with such great potential for success, but were not reaching and maximizing their potential.

The main topic of our conversation was how there were so many bands playing the same exact music. We spoke about that there are so many cheap stock shows that bands play and they are not always written for what is best for your program.

I recall many times in recent years where I would be at a band competition and there were so many bands playing the same exact show. I even remember one contest where one of my bands was competing and there were at least three bands at this contest playing the same exact show, same arrangement and everything. Two of these bands were even in the same class.

Nick and I discussed these issues and decided that if at all possible this needed to stop. We talked about how we would like to offer custom arrangements and instruction for band programs so that they would never be playing the same arrangement as someone else. This is where Atlantic Star Creative Solutions was born.

We still to this day want to try and help band programs in any way possible. Whether it be writing custom music to the strengths and weaknesses to the band or providing high quality DCI level instruction, camps or clinics. We want to help in the musical education of your students in any way possible and try and make things easier on band directors.
